What swimming pool management software has to solve
A pool has two seasons that have little in common. The indoor one lives on members and swimming lessons, with the same people every week. The summer one lives on day entry: hundreds of people in a few hours, a lot of cash and a capacity limit that has to be respected. Pool management software has to work for both without switching tools in June.
Most of the centers Sporttia manages are local-authority sports services, but nothing in the system depends on that: a private or club pool uses exactly the same.

Season passes, family passes and resident rates
- The season pass expires by itself
- A summer pass ends on the day the center decides, for everyone at once. A swim pass can expire on 31 August or three months after purchase.
- One family pass, one bill
- The holder pays and their family get in with their authorization. They are added from the holder's record, up to the cap the pass sets.
- Resident rates
- A rate can be reserved for a group, so registered residents see one price and everyone else another. No checking the register at the desk.
Who gets through the pool turnstile, and why
The turnstile opens for one of four reasons. If none applies, it stays shut and the attempt is logged.

How you get started, and what it costs
There is nothing to install: the center logs in from a browser and users use the free Sporttia app or the web. Getting started follows the order the system enforces —facilities, schedules, rates and payment gateway—, and bringing data from the previous system is agreed before starting; the usual thing is the members and their passes.
The price is matched to the center and discussed in a thirty-minute demo with the sales team, with the modules it needs, and no Sporttia fee if it takes payments through its own bank's POS. The door equipment is looked at case by case, depending on what is already installed.
What you should know
- Entry with a swim pass needs a connection, because the turnstile checks how many uses are left. Entry by pass, course and booking keeps working offline on ready turnstiles.
- Capacity counts entries minus exits, so it depends on exits being recorded. Anyone who does not badge out keeps counting until the overnight reset.
- There is no automatic waiting list for lessons: when a group fills, online enrollment closes for that group.
