Playtomic Manager is Playtomic's club management software. What usually happens

  • Not being clear what the software charges, on top of the bank.
  • Taking payment through a channel the club did not choose.
  • Running members' fees outside the booking system.
  • Not knowing when a contract can be ended.
  • Worrying about losing the season, the members and their memberships when switching.

How Sporttia solves it

No fee with your bank
If the club takes payments through its bank's POS, Sporttia takes nothing from each booking. Only Sporttia's POS carries a fee.
Your bank, your gateway
It connects the gateway the club already has, if it is Redsys, Paycomet, Stripe or CECA. If not, the club uses Sporttia's POS.
A switch done in order
Facilities, schedules, rates and gateway, in that order, with members and memberships brought over as agreed.

Why a club looks for an alternative

A club does not change management software on a whim: switching costs a season's worth of attention. When it comes up, it is usually because the club has grown, because its numbers have changed or because it wants something its current system does not give it. In all three cases, the useful thing is not to read comparisons written by one supplier about another, but to take the same questions to every conversation.

These are the ones that decide a padel club's purchase. Ask them of your current supplier and of any alternative, Sporttia included, and compare the answers in writing.

  • How much does the software take from each booking and each payment, on top of my bank?
  • Can I take payments through my own bank's gateway?
  • Do members' fees and the coaching academy run in the same system as bookings?
  • Can I open courts with no staff, with the door and lights tied to the booking?
  • How is the switch done, and which data do I bring over?

The questions, and what Sporttia answers

You fill in your current supplier's column, with its current terms.

The questionWhat Sporttia answers
Fee per booking? With its own bank's POS, if Sporttia has it integrated, there is no Sporttia fee; with Sporttia's POS (Stripe), a fee on the payments made through it is charged every month.
Own gateway and bank?A center can take payments through its own bank's POS if that bank works with one of the gateways Sporttia has integrated (Redsys, Paycomet, Stripe or CECA); if it does not, it uses Sporttia's POS (Stripe).
Access control and lighting?Yes. The booking issues the access code and switches on its court's lights; lighting needs an electrical installation ready for it.
Member fees and SEPA direct debits?Yes. Memberships with recurring fees and SEPA direct debit batches (cuaderno 19) for the bank.
Coaching academy?Yes. Groups with places, a sign-up fee and a monthly fee, and the coach takes attendance per class.
Multi-sport?Yes. Each facility is configured separately: padel, tennis, a gym and courses in the same system.
App with the club's brand? No. Players use the Sporttia app and the club appears in it with its own profile.
Data migration?Agreed before starting depending on what exists; the usual thing is to bring members and memberships.

Take payments with the bank you already have

If the club already takes payments through Redsys, Paycomet, Stripe or CECA, there is no need to change bank to change software: that gateway is connected. If not, it uses Sporttia's POS.

  • RedsysThe gateway used by most Spanish banks: BBVA, Santander, CaixaBank and everyone else on Redsys.
  • PaycometBanco Sabadell's gateway, with full tokenization for recurring payments.
  • StripeModern online payments, and the same provider for the card terminal at the desk.
  • CECAThe gateway of the Spanish savings banks.
  • Remesas SEPA (cuaderno 19)The direct debit file every Spanish bank asks for, generated from the panel.

How switching software works at a padel club

  1. Facilities and courts

Each court is set up with its sport. That is what can be booked afterwards.

  2. Schedules and rates

Which slots open and what each hour costs for each type of member. Without a rate, a court cannot go on sale: the system does not allow it.

  3. Gateway

The club's bank gateway is connected, if Sporttia has it integrated, or Sporttia's POS, to take payment up front from day one.

  4. Members and memberships

Brought over from the previous system as agreed before starting. It is not automatic: it depends on what data exists and in what format.

  5. Training

The club's team learns the panel before opening, and support does not end with go-live: it is based in Spain and in Spanish.

  6. Go-live

Bookings open to players, who book from the free Sporttia app or from a browser.

Who Sporttia is not right for

Sporttia is a marketplace: players book with the Sporttia app, free on iOS and Android, and the club appears in it with its own profile. There is no app with the club's brand in the app stores. If your own app is essential for your club, Sporttia is not the right fit, and it is better to know that before the demo than after.

There are no round-robin leagues either: tournaments are available, with draws of four to sixty-four teams, registration and payment. If leagues are at the heart of the club's activity, it is worth bearing in mind.

What you should know

  • This page does not describe any other supplier's terms. Compare what Sporttia answers with your current supplier's terms, on its website or in your contract.
  • Playtomic and Playtomic Manager are trademarks of their owner. They are named only to identify the search.
  • Data migration is not automatic: it is agreed before starting depending on what exists and in what format.

Frequently asked questions

What is an alternative to Playtomic Manager for a padel club?
Sporttia is management software for clubs and sports centers: bookings, open matches, tournaments, coaching, fees, payments and access control. It manages 776 padel courts, takes and takes payments through the club's own bank gateway.
How much does Playtomic Manager cost?
Sporttia cannot answer for another supplier: its price comes from its owner. It can answer for its own: Sporttia comes in two packs: the Basic Pack, from €35/month, and the Advanced Pack, from €45/month, excluding indirect taxes. The players' app is included in both.
Does Sporttia charge a fee per booking?
It depends on the POS the club uses. A center can take payments through its own bank's POS if that bank works with one of the gateways Sporttia has integrated (Redsys, Paycomet, Stripe or CECA); if it does not, it uses Sporttia's POS (Stripe). With its own bank's POS, if Sporttia has it integrated, there is no Sporttia fee; with Sporttia's POS (Stripe), a fee on the payments made through it is charged every month.
Can I bring my members and their memberships?
Yes, that is the usual thing. The migration is not automatic: it is agreed before starting depending on what data exists and in what format.
Can the club have an app with its own brand?
No. Players use the Sporttia app and the club appears in it with its own profile. If your own app is essential, Sporttia is not the right fit.
How long does it take to switch software?
No timeframe is published, because it depends on the club and the data to bring over. The order is fixed, though: facilities, schedules, rates and gateway.
