What usually happens

  • Queues at the office the day academy enrollment opens.
  • Groups kept in a spreadsheet only the person who built it understands.
  • Monthly dues collected in cash and hard to justify in an audit.
  • Different prices for children, adults and families, applied by hand.
  • Absences noted on paper and make-up classes nobody can confirm were taken.

September without queues

Enrollment opens and closes on its own
People sign up from their phone on the day and hour you set, pay the joining fee and take their place. Nobody queues at the office.
Places never get oversold
Every group has its cap and the system honors it, even if three people sign up in the same second.
Parents enroll their children
An adult signs their children up and pays for them from their own account. The place is in the child's name and the receipt in the parent's.

The dues collect themselves

One price per profile
Children at eighteen euros, adults at twenty-eight and a rate reserved for members. Each group with its own places and age range.
Raised every month without anyone launching them
October's due appears in October, on each student's record and with its status: outstanding or paid.
Collected by direct debit
With the IBAN on file, the due joins that month's batch. Two hundred debits go out in a single operation.

The whole course on one record

Who turns up and who does not
The class list with its attendance, and absences that can be made up in another session, recorded on both.
The details you need at sign-up
Shirt size, allergies, a signed consent form: whatever you need to ask, answered at enrollment and stored with each student.
Students let themselves in
Anyone enrolled walks through the turnstile for as long as the course runs, with nobody opening a door or handing out a card.
Next season, in one click
The course duplicates with its groups, its prices and its questions. All you change is the dates.

They are two independent periods and they do not have to overlap. It is the most common reason an enrollment does not show up: the course exists, but its window has closed. The system will not let you create the activity without an enrollment window, so it is never missing.

  1. 1The enrollment window decides from when and until when people can sign up.
  2. 2The course dates decide when it runs, and they can start much later.
  3. 3An academy starting in September opens enrollment in August: those are two periods, not one.
  4. 4Both appear together in the listing, so nobody mistakes one for the other.

The enrollment window cannot be confused

The number one reason a course «does not show up» is that enrollment is closed. Sporttia will not publish an activity without saying when people can sign up:

What the member seesBoth sets of dates, one above the other, in the listing

A course that runs in October can have enrollment open in August, and those are two different things. Because both always appear, nobody calls to ask why they cannot sign up.

What members sort out themselves

  • Sign up online and pay the joining fee by card.
  • Fill in whatever the center asks and sign consent forms.
  • Set up a direct debit so they never queue at the desk again.
  • Enroll their children and pay for them.
  • Check what they have paid and what is still outstanding.

What you should know

  • When a group reaches its cap, online enrollment closes for that group. There is no automatic waiting list.
  • Course dues are raised by calendar month and membership dues from each member's start date. Those are two deliberately different rules.
  • Whether a course accepts sign-ups only at the desk or online too is decided by the center, group by group.

Frequently asked questions

Can joining fees and monthly dues be collected by direct debit?
Yes. With the IBAN on the member's record, the due joins the next SEPA batch the center generates, and two hundred debits go out in a single operation. Dues collected another way are not included.
Why is my course not showing up for enrollment?
Almost always because the enrollment window is closed, which is different from the course dates: an academy starting in October can have enrollment open in August. Both sets of dates are always on display in the listing.
What happens to students if I change the dates of a course already running?
It depends which date you touch. Extending the end date only extends students whose own end date matched the old one; anyone with a date of their own keeps it. Shortening it leaves no student beyond the new one.
Can a course be free?
Yes: create a group with the joining fee and the dues at zero. It is worth distinguishing that from a price that has not been set, because in the public directory Sporttia shows «Ask us» when the real amount depends on the center's rates.
Can a student with unpaid dues still get in?
Not if the center has access control. Any overdue unpaid charge stops the turnstile opening for them, and the system notifies the administrator. You can allow a grace period of a few days.
