## On screen: A counter sale, with its tax and its change

- You type the price the customer pays and the system works out the net. Nobody divides by 1.21 in their head.
- Units drop when the product is added, not when it is paid for: two staff cannot sell the same racket.
- «Tendered» and «Change» are the money the customer hands over and what to give back.

### Can I sell to someone who is not a member?

Every sale is tied to a member, because the charge hangs off them. The usual practice is to keep a generic counter account for one-off sales, so the till balances without registering every buyer.
